Strawberry Brownies Recipe
Servings: 8-10
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 120g dark chocolate, chopped
- 90g unsalted butter, cubed
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 220g brown sugar
- 90g all-purpose flour
- 30g caramelized pecans, chopped
- 100g strawberries, hulled and diced
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven and prepare the pan:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a square baking pan (about 20cm x 20cm) or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the brownies.
- Melt chocolate and butter:
- Set up a bain-marie by filling a pot with a small amount of water and placing a heatproof bowl on top, ensuring the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl.
- Place the chopped dark chocolate and cubed butter in the bowl, and gently melt them together over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and combined.
- Once melted, remove the bowl from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Mix the batter:
- Stir the beaten eggs into the cooled chocolate mixture until well combined.
- Gradually add the brown sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
- Sift in the flour and fold gently to combine. Avoid overmixing to keep the brownies fudgy.
- Stir in the chopped caramelized pecans.
- Assemble with strawberries:
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the diced strawberries over the batter, distributing them evenly.
- Cover with the remaining batter, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake the brownies:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
- It’s important not to overbake to ensure the brownies stay moist and fudgy.
- Cool and serve:
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes. This makes them easier to cut and helps set their structure.
- Carefully remove the brownies from the pan and let them cool completely on the rack.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, you can use a mix of semi-sweet and dark chocolate.
- If you prefer a crunchier texture, consider adding more nuts like walnuts or almonds.
- These brownies are best enjoyed the day they are made but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Enjoy your delicious, fudgy Strawberry Brownies!
