Instructions:
- Perfect Boiled Eggs:
- Place the eggs in a shallow pot and cover them with cold water.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, turn off the heat and cover the pot.
- Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove eggs from water and let them cool before peeling.
- Preparing the Cajun Egg Filling:
- Once eggs are cool, peel them and cut each egg in half lengthwise.
- Gently remove the yolks and place them in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Set the egg white halves on paper towels to drain any excess moisture.
- Add mayonnaise, hot sauce, sweet relish, 1-2 teaspoons of Old Bay Seasoning, garlic powder, and chopped dill to the yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and set aside the yolk mixture.
- Cooking the Cajun Shrimp:
- Heat oil in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat.
- Pat the shrimp dry and season them with 2 teaspoons of Old Bay Seasoning.
- Sauté the shrimp in the hot oil until they are cooked through and slightly charred, about 2-3 minutes per side, depending on size. Halfway through, drizzle lemon juice over the shrimp.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Plating the Deviled Eggs:
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly back into the cavities of the egg white halves.
- Place one Cajun shrimp on top of each filled egg half.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika and a little extra dill.
- Serving:
